GM ECM/PCM Cloning Service
(E37 E38 E39/E39A E67 E78 E80 E82 E83 E84 E87 E92 E98)
Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac, GMC, Hummer
Introduction
On many 2010 and newer GM vehicles (Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Hummer, Buick) they’ve introduced what’s called a Global A system which basically prevents modules swapping (unlike on older GM’s), meaning you cannot get a second hand ECM and program it to your vehicle. Even if you will use an SPS (dealer programming software) and an MDI (dealer interface) to attempt a reprogramming, it might start reprogramming, but will give you an error in the process. Dealer will want to sell you a brand new ECM, and then the programming will succeed.
But don’t worry. There is a way to clone some “used” ECM’s.
